About

I build market infrastructure for Indian independent cinema. Over the past two decades, my work has focused on strengthening the systems that enable films to move from idea to market — across development, financing and international access. As Managing Director of the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), I led initiatives that expanded India’s engagement with global film markets, including the creation of Film Bazaar, which has become a key platform for South Asian independent cinema. My continuing interest lies in building durable frameworks — whether markets, capital platforms, or talent infrastructure — that support the long-term sustainability of independent cinema.
