Udit Ranjan Chatterjee is an Indian screenwriter and filmmaker based in Mumbai, known for layered, character-driven storytelling and psychologically nuanced narratives. Raised in the tea gardens of North Bengal, his work explores themes of memory, identity, emotional isolation, and socio-political tension. He has worked across short films, advertisements, and independent features in roles including Associate Director, Script Supervisor, Creative Associate, Associate Writer, and Post Production Supervisor. His independent directorial debut came with the short film Jaane Anjaane. He is currently developing feature films and web series rooted in raw human conflict, realism, and psychological depth.
